Privacy Policy
Effective 6 October 2026
What stays on your phone
- Your goal, your answers to the setup questions, your route, daily tasks, check-ins and streak.
- Your conversations with the coach.
- Your reminder settings. Reminders are local notifications created on your phone; no push server is involved.
Deleting the app deletes this data. There is no copy of it on our servers.
What is sent to our server, and why
To create and adjust your route and to answer coach messages, the app sends the relevant text to our server (a Cloudflare Worker): for example your goal, your setup answers, a short summary of your progress (numbers, dates, today's tasks) and the message you wrote to the coach. The server forwards it to the AI provider (Anthropic, maker of Claude), gets the answer and sends it back to the app.
- We do not store your goal text, answers or messages on our server, and we do not write them to our logs.
- Our server keeps only what it needs to run the service fairly: a random device identifier created by the app, how many requests that identifier made today, and the total AI cost of the day. These counters are deleted after a few days.
- The text for AI requests is sent to Anthropic, which runs the Claude models. Anthropic processes it under its own policies for API data โ its Commercial Terms, Privacy Policy and data retention rules. Under those terms, data sent through the API is not used to train Anthropic's models by default; Anthropic may keep it for a limited time, for example for safety and abuse monitoring.
- Our server does not store the text. It only passes it to Anthropic and the answer back to your phone.
Please don't type things you wouldn't want an AI service to process, such as passwords, card numbers or detailed medical records.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; it receives the random device identifier and the purchase receipt from the store, not your name or email.
Usage statistics and crash reports
If enabled, the app sends anonymous usage events (for example "a check-in was completed", without the content) to PostHog and crash reports to Sentry, so we can see what works and fix bugs. They are linked to the random device identifier, not to you. You can turn this off at any time in Profile โ Share anonymous usage & crash reports.
What we never do
- No accounts, no email or phone number collected by the app.
- No selling or renting of data, no advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites.
Children
Waymark is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly process their data.
Your choices
- Turn off usage statistics in Profile.
- Turn off reminders in Profile or in your phone's settings.
- Delete everything by deleting the app.
- Questions or requests: onlyabbos8@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
